Radiation-shielded doors and lead windows for an imaging department renovation with tight downtime windows.
An imaging department renovation in the Middle East had a hard constraint: rooms could only be taken offline for two weeks, so doors had to arrive measured, pre-fitted and ready to hang.
We produced automatic lead-lined sliding doors and manual lead doors to 2.0-3.0mmPb with lead glass windows, all pre-fitted to frames and crated per room. Installation drawings were issued three weeks before shipment so the site team prepared openings in advance.
Result: all shielded doors hung and tested inside the shutdown window, and the physics survey passed on first inspection.
